There are several things in life that I’m passionate about: dancing, writing, photography and the natural world. I’m happiest when I’m enjoying these things, as I’m being my true authentic self. In fact, you could say I’m passionate about life itself and making the most of it. Having the freedom and time to express myself creatively is a privilege and a joy. So too is sharing my passion with others, whether that’s in person or via my website.

During the week, I’m a self-employed dance teacher based in West Sussex. I’ve been teaching adult dance and fitness classes for over 15 years under my business name, Strictly Dancing With Lisa. I've been welcoming people to my classes for so long now, there's a lovely sociable atmosphere at each venue that new joiners also benefit from. Dancing is great for the mind and the body and is so much fun. There are times it doesn’t feel like work at all. I’m really lucky to have found a job that I love.

I'm very excited about the year ahead because I recently decided to make writing a much bigger part of my life. I’m currently editing a non-fiction book I’ve written called
Shooting Stars, which is very much a personal journey of self-discovery. Alongside working on this, I’m writing shorter pieces for my Blog. There are stories from my holiday adventures, nature and photography outings and I’ve written more personal pieces about life’s challenges and general wellbeing. Plus, you’ll find some mindfulness moments, which are all about slowing down and appreciating nature. Under the Blog menu you'll also find a Twitter page showing you my recent posts.

It’s this love of nature and photography that has dramatically increased for me over recent years. It is a never-ending journey of discovery and learning, which I find wonderfully exciting. As you’ll see on the
Photography pages and across my website, I love spending time outdoors exploring the natural world and experiencing special moments first-hand, taking time to notice the beauty that’s all around. The stresses of life ebb away with each step I take and every breath of fresh air that fills my lungs. It helps quiet the mind and allows me to fully immerse myself in the moment. It’s good to feel connected to the planet and be reminded I’m a tiny part of something much bigger than myself. The wonders of nature never cease to amaze and inspire me.

You can read more about my background in the
About section under the Home menu.
